Ventures Park, an Industrial Training (IT) establishment is set to partner with the Polytechnic Iresi in IT capacity building with their international project tagged “Operation No Yahoo”.
The project was initiated to correct the stereotype
labelled against the black race, especially Nigerians, for fraudulent
activities like cyber-crime in other to amass ill-gotten wealth. The project is
specifically brought to the Polytechnic Iresi to change the focus and
orientations of the students on how to be gainfully and self-employed, by
equipping them with job creation, self-reliance and entrepreneurial skills
without indulging in illegal activities.

The Founder, Ventures Park, Mr. Kola Aina, ably represented by the General Manager, Mr. Jayeola Okuwazun, during his presentation noted that Ventures Park has shown its commitment to the development of Nigerian education through its partnership programme with the Polytechnic Iresi, Osun State. This partnership will give students of the Institution opportunity to go on creative and innovative Industrial Training with the company free of charge.

In addition, Mr. Kola noted that the trainees will be taught the rudiments of technology that will enhance their knowledge through practical exposure and capacity building. He further stated that, if the trainees are found to have distinguished themselves based on competence and potentials, they would be absolved into the main stream of the company’s workforce.
“We are passionate about the Nigerian youths. Their
aspirations and dreams are of basic concern to us in achieving a better future
for them. It is in line with this, that we have designed this programme to
reach and meet their needs of helping to make Nigeria better”, the Founder said.
Hence, he urged the Management of the higher citadel of learning to support the
project, so as to benefit not only the student’s, but the Iresi community in
entirety.

Land, Chief (Dr.) Oluwole Oludaisi Aina in his remarks, appreciated the
Management of the Polytechnic Iresi for their meritorious and selfless services
rendered towards building the students of the Institution for better tomorrow
and the community at large. He further commended the efforts of the Press Crew
of the Institution and urged them to keep the flag flying. The Asiwaju, in his
statement, made it known that the proposed project is the effort of his son, while
he is serving as the interface between the Polytechnic Iresi and the Ventures
Park Company. Dr. Oluwole therefore prayed that the proposed partnership be
successful and beneficial to the Institution and the community as a whole.

In his remark, The Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin, on behalf of the Management of the Institution, equally appreciated the Asiwaju of Iresi for facilitating the initiative. In the same vein, The Rector showered encomium on the organization team, especially the pioneer and innovator of Ventures Park, Mr. Kola Aina for considering the Polytechnic Iresi and its community as one of the beneficiaries of the Industrial Training.

Lasisi Omotayo, Bursar, Deacon John Adejumo, Dean Students Affairs, Mrs. Grace
Taiwo Odejide, Librarian, Mr. Odebunmi Adelekan Daniel, the Head of Public
Relations and Protocol Units, Mr. Salaudeen Abdullahi, as well as the HODs of
Computer Science and Computer Engineering, Mr. Adesina Abdulrazaq and Engr.
Olawale Adeolu Johnson respectively.

Speaking with TPI Press crew, the Communication Manager, Ventures Park, Osun State team leader, Miss Agnes Adebiyi, noted that Ventures Park is a global community that fosters entrepreneurship and innovation by offering co-working spaces and community activities for entrepreneurs. She therefore urged the students of the higher citadel of learning to make use of the opportunity efficiently and effectively so as to become a better person in the society at large.
