THE POLYTECHNIC IRESI NOT INFERIOR TO ANY POLYTECHNIC IN NIGERIA: NBTE

A team of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) led by the Director of Polytechnic programmes, Arc Ngbede Ogoh, visited the Polytechnic Iresi for resource inspection of the new departments that are ready to commence academic programmes at both ND and HND levels. The inspection which took place on 13th and 14th of September 2022 was yet another impeccable milestone for the Polytechnic Iresi, the fastest growing private Polytechnic in Nigeria.

In his remark, Arc. Ogoh affirmed that the Polytechnic Iresi is not inferior to any Polytechnic in Nigeria. “The NBTE recognises your institution the same way we recognise other federal and state institutions in the country. The Director further proclaimed that the Polytechnic Iresi is the second established community Polytechnic in the whole southwest Nigeria after Igbaja Polytechnic, but has become the first in terms of human resources and facilities.

The Rector of the Polytechnic Iresi, Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin in his opening address showered encomium on Iresi Community for their unquantifiable contributions towards the growth and development of the Polytechnic.  According to the Rector, “All achievements would not have come to be if not for the unending support of the well-meaning sons of the soil. The enthusiasm and the zeal for the development of this Institution from the Iresi Community is unquantifiable”.

In the same vein, The Chairman, Governing Council of the Polytechnic, Prof. Omolayo Ajayi added that the unity and cooperation in Iresi Community have triggered the incredible growth and development the Polytechnic has witnessed over the years. While compelling the NBTE team, the Council Chairman urged the team to also use their influence to assist the Polytechnic in appealing to the government and other meaningful stakeholders with good motorable road network. Prof. Ajayi noted that poor condition of the roads withing the community and its environs has been one of the challenges facing the Polytechnic, and if fixed, it will further lead to more development of the Polytechnic as there will be easy access for commuters and visitors of the higher citadel of learning.
